During Steve and Joy’s visit, we roasted some of the chickens butchered here at La Finca a few weeks ago. Javier and Cristofer, two of the boys instrumental in caring for the chickens, joined us for the feast. Patricia, one of the girls at La Finca, graduated from high school this year. She invited us to her celebration party last night.
The garden is still producing (although the zompopos are still a destructive force) and the laying chickens are thriving.
