In this season of Advent, we prepare not only for the celebration of Christmas, but for our time in Honduras. Dwain is working at clearing trees and underbrush to create space for an expanded and more substantial fence line. A neighboring farmer with cattle of his own has agreed to take care of Dwain's herd next year. Both his herd and Dwain's herd will share the same pasture, so fence lines need to be created to accommodate the change. Audrey is packing items for storage and completing paperwork details necessary for departure.
In addition to preparations in Lancaster, we will participate in a 3-day EMM orientation at Harrisburg Discipleship Center. We will also spend some time at Educational Concerns for Hunger Organization (ECHO), a Christian organization located on a demonstration farm in North Fort Myers, FL. The purpose of ECHO is to provide training, support and resources for people working internationally in the area of agriculture.
